Harper White Boyd

Class of 1938

As a major in economics at Beloit College twenty-five years ago you began studies which led into your life work and which have already brought you to a high position in the academic and business world. Following war-time service for your country, and the gaining of actual business experience, you continued your studies at Northwestern, culminating in your doctorate in 1952. You then joined the staff of that university since then your rise has been rapid, and for the past four years you have held the chairmanship of the Department of Marketing at the famous School of Business of Northwestern. Through your teaching, your many publications, and your wide travels, you have become an authority in your field, and your services are widely sought after. You have directed management training programs in Venezuela and Egypt. As you return to help classmates celebrate the silver anniversary of their graduation, your alma mater is pleased to award you this Distinguished Service Citation.
