Week-long Events

  • Alumni Oral History Project: Sign up to be virtually interviewed to further document the history of the college. Your recordings will serve as both a priceless legacy and invaluable material for future researchers. (Sep 27 until Oct 2)
  • Beloiter Days Walking Challenge: Get up and get moving! Walk a lot or a little, but show your Beloiter pride along the way. Each day will be a different challenge with a different prize available to the participants. Join us for one day or all six…and don’t forget to use the hashtag #BDWC and track your participation with our special link! (Sep 27 until Oct 2)
  • Logan Museum of Anthropology Online Exhibits: Peruse the online exhibits from the Logan Museum of Anthropology from wherever you are. (Sep 27 until Oct 2)
  • Virtual Wright Museum of Art: Explore the collections of the Virtual Wright Museum of Art from the comfort of your own couch!  (Sep 27 until Oct 2)

  • 4:00pmAfghanistan at Another Crossroads: This panel of experts will discuss the recent developments in Afghanistan in both contemporary and historical context.
  • 6:00pmBeloit WikiRaces: Join us for the 2nd Annual Beloit WikiRace, hosted by Associate Professor of Physics and Astronomy Britt Scharringhausen. Open to everyone! In this friendly competition, players will race through Wikipedia to connect topics in unexpected ways. No need to know how to play–it’s super easy, and Britt will explain how it works.   • 6:00pmNew Families Question and Answer Session: Come join our experts to get your questions answered about your student’s first year at Beloit. Featuring our Residence Life, Security, and Food Service Staff. Register in advance to save your spot!

  • 7:00pmClass of 1966 Zoom Happy Hour: Gather virtually with your classmates from the class of 1966 to reminisce over old memories and make new ones. Register in advance to save your spot!
  • 7:00pmBeloit College Women’s Volleyball vs Maranatha Baptist University
  • 8:00pmSummer Research in STEM: Join us to hear STEM students share the results of their summer research projects, which were a joint endeavor with Beloit College faculty. Project topics included computer learning to predict liver disease (Sasank Thapa), meta-analysis to investigate burial remains and tuberculosis (Ian Jacobs), water quality in native frog habitats (Grace Scott), and generating instructional videos for Chemistry education (Onix Roige Diez).

  • 7:00pmBeloit College Trivia Night: Join us for a Beloit College Trivia Night! Questions will range from pop culture, history, to Beloit specific questions. Make your team with friends near and far with the use of Zoom breakout rooms. Prizes will go to the top finishers. Register in advance to save your spot!

  • 8:00amMocha and Mojitos - Coffee and More with the Health and Healing Career Channel: Join the coordinators of the Health and Healing Career Channel to sip your favorite drink, discuss current events in public health and share career opportunities for other alumni and students.   • 12:25pmExecutive in Residence Tim Leslie on Leadership: Economics Professor Laura Grube and Executive in Residence Tim Leslie will discuss the Executive in Residence Program and Tim’s class, The Art of Leading (Interdisciplinary Studies 204). Tim will describe how he thinks about leadership, what he has learned makes for an effective leader (through his experience at Amazon, Leafly, and more), and how self-reflection and understanding context is essential at every stage of your career and life.
