Beloiter Days

Save the date! The 2025 Beloiter Days: Homecoming, Reunion, and Family & Friends Weekend is set for September 19-21, 2025. We hope to see you here!

Thank you, Beloiters!

We had so much fun hosting a joyful mix of 600 alumni, families, and friends of the college, over the weekend for 2024 Beloiter Days. Thank you to all who were able to join us. You brought an inspirational energy to campus that we’re still feeling. We love having you here.

Guests sat in on classes, took over C-Haus, met alumni authors, attended open houses and museum events, marched in the parade, tailgated at Strong Stadium, and stuck around after a close Homecoming game vs. Knox to dance to our own Associate Provost Ron Watson’s band (aka Mister Pink).

The football program has made incredible strides over the past four years, and it was on full display during the game. The atmosphere was electric—fans packed the stands—and it was a perfect night for football. It was a hard-fought battle against a rival we’ve been playing since the 1890s, and although we came up just short with a 13-17 final score, Coach Ted Soenksen and his 95+ players gave it everything they had. The energy was unforgettable, and despite the score, it was a night to remember!

The Homecoming Parade was led by Grand Marshal Rae Miller, a Beloit alumna from the Class of 1949. The grand prize for parade entrants went to RAAS Beloit Dance Collective, winning the trophy for a second year in a row.

The Powerhouse served as an important gathering place for the weekend. President Eric Boynton updated a group of parents and alumni on a few of the college’s most important initiatives: Impact Beloit, the college’s four new schools, expanding food service across campus, and revitalizing residence halls.

A full house at the Awards Assembly saw four distinguished alumni recognized for both their success in their fields and for their enhancement of Beloit College and its mission.

  • Duncan Gillis’14, an award-winning soccer player and coach, with a commitment to excellence and mentorship, was honored as this year’s Young Alumni Award recipient.

  • Angela Moten Russell’99, a Board of Trustee member and visionary leader advancing the work of diversity, equity, and inclusion through public service and her communities, received the Distinguished Service Citation for the 25th reunion class.

  • Mark Pence’74’s selfless and consistent service to the college and his class over five decades led to his receiving the Distinguished Service Citation, representing the 50th reunion class.

  • Fred Burwell’86 received the Joe Kobylka Award for his long career of service to the archives and to the college, bringing its history to life for Beloiters past, present, and future.

The weekend was capped off by the Athletic Hall of Honor lunch and awards ceremony, emceed by Athletics Director Dave DeGeorge. Inductees were Katelynn Rynders Ambrosini’07 (softball, volleyball); Michael Findley’07 (soccer); and Mike Kovach’11 (baseball).

We can’t wait to do it again next year—September 19-21, 2025!
