Need-Based Aid
Need-based awards reduce out-of-pocket costs and assist in making Beloit an affordable choice.
Applying for financial aid
All applicants are automatically considered for merit scholarships by the Admissions Committee during application review.
All applicants interested in learning their eligibility for additional types of financial aid — including federal, state, and institutional aid in the form of grants, work study, and loans — must submit a financial aid application.
- Domestic students — U.S. citizens and permanent residents — are expected to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- International Students can submit the free Beloit College International Student Financial Aid Application or choose one of the other available options.
Financial Aid Estimates
Due to the delay in full availability of the FAFSA until December, Beloit College will again offer Financial Aid Estimates to admitted, domestic students using the CSS Profile.
Financial Aid Estimates combine merit scholarships, institutional grants, and estimated state and federal financial aid to produce a net price after financial aid. Beloit guarantees that your net price will not change after submission of the FAFSA, even if your eligibility for state and federal funds is different than estimated, as long as the information submitted in the CSS Profile is accurate.
- Admitted students are encouraged to submit the CSS Profile immediately and can expect to receive a Financial Aid Estimate within 2-3 weeks.
- Applicants are encouraged to submit the CSS Profile when they apply for admission and can expect to receive a Financial Aid Estimate within two weeks of receiving their admissions decision.
Submission of the CSS Profile is free for families earning less than $100,000 per year. For all other families, submission costs $25 for the first college and $16 for each additional colleges.

Deadlines and Timing
When possible, students are encouraged to submit their financial aid application at the same time as their application for admission.
Admitted students who meet the priority FAFSA filing deadline can expect to receive a financial aid offer within two weeks of receiving their admissions decision.
Admitted student who do not meet the priority FAFSA filing deadline can expect to receive a financial aid offer within four weeks of Beloit receiving their FAFSA.
Beloit only sends financial aid offers to admitted students.
The 2025-26 FAFSA is expected to open to a small, test group of students and families on October 1 with full availability following by December 1. We encourage everyone to submit the FAFSA promptly once it is available to them. Early Action applicants are encouraged to submit the CSS Profile to receive a Financial Aid Estimate.
