- A completed application
Beloit accepts the Common Application, Beloit Application, Universal College Application, or Coalition Application.
- Secondary school report
This includes your transcript and counselor recommendation. Beloit College gives preference to applicants who have challenged themselves academically with a rigorous curriculum. While there are no specific curricular requirements, we do like to see four years of English, three years of a foreign language, three years of college preparatory mathematics, three years of laboratory science, and four years of history or social science.
- A teacher recommendation
While we tend to suggest that the recommendation come from someone who taught you when you were a junior, you know your teachers best. Request a recommendation from the teacher who will provide the admissions committee with the most insightful perspective of you as a student.
Standardized test scores
Submission of test scores (the ACT and SAT) is optional for most applicants. Home-schooled applicants and candidates applying from secondary schools that do not provide grades are asked to submit results from one or more standardized test, such as SAT, ACT, AP, or IB examination results, or grades from college courses. Applicants for whom English is a second language should take the TOEFL or IELTS.
Scores can be submitted either directly from the testing agency (SAT code: 1059 / ACT code: 4564) or on your official secondary school transcript.
- A meeting with one of our admissions counselors
A great way to learn more about Beloit College—and help us learn more about you—is a one-on-one meeting with one of our admissions counselors. Click here to learn when we'll be visiting your area, or contact us to set up a campus visit. You can also request a phone or Skype interview by emailing us at email@example.com.
- Your ZeeMee profile
Beloit is a ZeeMee partner. ZeeMee is a free service that helps students bring their application to life. As part of a holistic review, we are committed to learning about the person behind the application. Simply copy and paste your link into the Common App (there's a dedicated field for it) or include the link with your essay, if you’re using the Universal College Application. You can sign up at ZeeMee.com. (Submitting a ZeeMee profile is completely optional, and evaluation of your admissions application will not be delayed as long as all materials are received by the stated deadlines.)
