Career & Work Experience
Beloiters graduate ahead of the game, knowing how to learn, grow, and succeed throughout their lives.
Your classroom is everywhere
There are plenty of things you can’t learn in a classroom. We intentionally blur the lines between curricular and co-curricular, campus and community, classroom and career.
At Beloit, an internship or research project is more than a line on a resume. We make sure you learn all you can from each opportunity. We even provide students credit for their internships.
You will discover quickly that anything you do can be a learning experience. Leading a campus club, planning a major event, taking a position in student government: these experiences build skills that employers and graduate schools value.
Bring your interests — we’ll handle the details
Beloit’s most recent action plan focuses on the connection between college and career. The result? Beloit is positioned to help students prepare for meaningful lives after college.
How do we make it work? Career Channels connect you with mentors, opportunities, and other students who share your interests. The annual Career Accelerator makes the most of the winter break with workshops, panels, and networking opportunities. And of course, Career Works remains the destination to find internships and opportunities year-round.
Our alumni, local and regional employers, and friends of the college are central to Beloit students’ professional growth. Dubbed “the Power Grid,” they work with you to understand the fields you want to enter and how best to get started.
After Beloit
Beloit students graduate ready to contribute to the world, with Beloit alums powering their paths.
You’ll have the opportunity to be paired with Beloit alumni mentors in your senior year. Beloiters Helping Beloiters offer soon-to-be graduates inspiration, practical guidance, and access to the professional networks you need to succeed.
Our Career Center helps you create compelling applications for jobs or graduate programs. Advisors work with you to polish your resume, practice your interview skills, and help you understand the values that are important in the workplace.
