Statement of Accreditation
Beloit College is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Once every 10 years, a team assembled by the Commission visits our campus, speaks to a wide variety of students, faculty, and staff, reads an extensive self-evaluation that we prepare, and then writes an accreditation report.
Our most recent accreditation report, based on a September 2006 visit, granted accreditation for the next 10 years and concluded that Beloit College is a vibrant college which has had a long history as an innovative and highly successful liberal arts college. In addition to the college’s NCA accreditation, our acclaimed Logan Museum of Anthropology is accredited by the American Association of Museums, an endorsement granted to only 5 percent of the nation’s museums.

In preparation for its next periodic evaluation, Beloit College will host a visit on Nov. 14-15, 2016, with a team representing the Higher Learning Commission, which will review the college’s ongoing ability to meet the criteria for accreditation. To that end, the public is invited to submit comments regarding the college either by mail or via a form on the HLC’s website. Comments must be received by Oct. 17.
