Gina T’ai
Adjunct Associate Professor of Dance
Email: taig@beloit.edu Phone: 608-363-2165 Office: Hendricks CenterT’ai creates and crafts performances, dances, and spectacles. She is a drag performer and staple of the drag pageant judging panel in WI and IL. Her stage work has been presented nationally and internationally at Performatica (Mexico), World Dance Alliance- Americas and Global Summit (Canada), The American Dance Festival (ADF), Center for Performance Research (NYC), Richmond Dance Festival (VA), The Wuk (Austria) and beyond. Ms. T’ai recently received a commission for a new solo to premiere at the Going Dutch Festival. She is training to teach dance classes to people with Parkinson’s Disease.
Her favorite class to teach is Performing Gender which encourages students to explore the ways they interpret and perform gender on a daily basis as well as creating a character to perform in a drag and burlesque spectacular put on at the end of the semester. She loves being “House Mama” to all queer and queer ally students in the class community.
