 Email:   Room 201, Campbell Hall

Professor Craig is a visiting assistant professor for the 2021-22 academic year. He teaches Principles of Economics, Economic Development, and Quantitative Methods. He is passionate about teaching and particularly enjoys seeing how students from a wide range of backgrounds can use economics to understand their experiences and see social phenomena in a new way.

Professor Craig’s research is broadly in the area of economic sociology and development economics. He examines how social life and economic life shape one another, particularly with the goal of understanding their influence on economic (re)development. Much of his work discusses communities’ experiences with natural disasters.

Before coming to Beloit College, Professor Craig earned a B.S. in Economics and Chemical Biosciences from the University of Oklahoma and a M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from George Mason University. He is excited to experience life in the Beloit community and to participate in the unique culture at Beloit College.
