Classical Sociological Theory
An exploration of the history of sociological thought. Emphasis is on a survey of leading theories in the functionalist, conflict, and interpretive historical perspectives. The focus is on the classical theorists: Durkheim, Marx, and Weber, with a brief survey of important precursors and contemporaries.

Course Format Description
Class will meet in-person in smaller groups 2x/week; other meetings will be remote. Synchronous/asynchronous meetings, assignments and assessment will depend on the location and preferences of students.
