In this role, she collaborates with faculty, staff, administrators, and alumni to implement Beloit College’s vision of career readiness. Prior to this role, she served as the Director of Career Development for eight years, where she advised and instructed students in professional writing, interviewing, workplace culture, and more.
She has been involved internally and externally in initiatives that support the college’s commitment to anti-racism, including:
- Midwest Association of Colleges and Employers Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity Committee
- Sustained Dialogue
- Decolonizing Pedagogies
Jessica holds a Master of Fine Arts in Writing from Hamline University and a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing as well as a teacher certification from Beloit College. She is an active member of the city of Beloit community and has volunteered with the Greater Beloit Chamber of Commerce and the School District of Beloit.
