Notes | Grace’s Place is named in honor of Grace Ousley, the first black woman to graduate from Beloit College in 1904, is a center for services and programming that aligns with the college’s mission to evoke and support a sense of community and belonging, by building knowledge, understanding, respect, dignity and awareness of issues impacting Black life. Grace’s Place purpose is to explore, acknowledge, and share realities specific to the Black community at Beloit College. The goal is to provide opportunities for academic growth, social support, community building, and a sense of belonging. Grace’s place will present a diverse array of programming open to all, while also providing a safe space. Located on the lower level of Pearsons Hall, the current hours of operation are Monday-Friday 4:00 PM- 8:00 PM. Reservations are required for regular weekly usage or when you need the room on a definite date and at specific time. At this time, drop-in usage is not available. Please use the room according to this basic intention and to the following guidelines:
