It’s the season for music

There’s plenty of opportunities to enjoy music on the Beloit campus.
Beloit College’s music department celebrates with concerts throughout December. Performances for all are in Eaton Chapel.

Jazz Band & Students in Performance Sunday, Dec. 4 at 3 p.m.

Traditional jazz selections and a few new tunes will be performed by the Jazz Band, directed by Will Brown, at the Beloit College Eaton Chapel. Rounding out the concert will be Students taking lessons and performing solo works. 

Beloit Choirs Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m

This performance showcases both Beloit College Choirs. Chamber Singers is a smaller group, while the Beloit College and Community Choir is thrilled to welcome back our community members this year. Both choirs under the direction of Kristie Halverson are exploring themes of identity and the concepts of home. A variety of music awaits our audience!

Creative Strings Collective Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m.

The concert will include works by Joplin, Brubeck, Telemann, Borodin, Mozart, Norgaard and Monroe. Under the direction of Chris Wagoner and Mary Gaines this show is sure to be a toe-tapper!
