Attorney – Public Servant

A specialist in municipal law and finance for 32 years, you have attained eminence as an authority in your field. Your devotion to duty an outstanding service have gained for you two interim terms as acting city manager of Kansas City, Missouri; membership on the National Advisory Commission on Municipal Building Codes; selection to Who’s Who in the Midwest; and a citation for Distinguished Public Service from the National Institute of Municipal Law Officers. Your efforts in church and youth work also have brought you recognition. You were named moderator of the five-state Mid-American Congregational Fellowship after service as a moderator of the Missouri Congregational Conference, and you have been cited for your participation in the Boy Scout program. Above all, however, you have earned the respect, admiration, and appreciation of your fellow citizens – and of your Alma Mater – for your untiring and unselfish dedication and loyalty to mankind. In recognition of this, Beloit College is proud to award you this Distinguished Service Citation as your class gathers for its 60th Reunion.
