Conceived by the Beloit Forward Turnaround Committee in the summer of 2018, Beloit’s new engagement program is a one-stop resource for Beloiters to participate in Beloit experiences on and off campus and engage with students.

The committee’s initial charge was to find valuable and unique ways to reconnect with the alumni base, but quickly expanded to include concierge services, Development Student Ambassadors, and planning toolboxes for off-campus and on-campus constituents.

The engagement team, led by Karen Mayse, director of engagement, and Frances Klaverkamp’16, assistant director of engagement, aims to be your first stop for making the most of your Beloit experience. From planning Beloiters Unite events across the globe to customizing campus visits, the engagement team is ready to help alumni and visitors make the most of any visit to campus.

Karen and Frances piloted the program by working with Associate Professors of Anthropology Lisa Anderson-Levy and Jennifer Esperanza to host a Beloiters Unite at the American Anthropological Association’s 2018 meeting in San Jose, Calif.

“Whether you’re an alum living thousands of miles away, a parent looking to visit campus, or a professor hoping to connect with alumni during a conference, our concierge services are here to assist you and our Development Student Ambassadors will connect you with current students so you can view Beloit life through their eyes,” says Klaverkamp.
