Re-Live the 2019 MLK Convocation

On Monday, Jan. 21, Mandela Barnes, the first African-American to serve as a lieutenant governor in Wisconsin, and the second African-American ever to hold statewide office, gave the keynote for Beloit’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Convocation.

He was joined at the event by the Beloit Turner Overdrive Choir from Beloit Turner School District, U.S. Senator for Wisconsin Tammy Baldwin, and Beloit Memorial Senior Kaylyn Vences, and as well as our two fabulous student emcees Ellis Jordan Lewis ’20 and Isabel Mae Mendoza ’22.
