An Evening on Broadway

A musical showcase
of Broadway favorites

*****

This event is free and open to the public.

Beloit College music students will showcase Broadway favorites in a cabaret-style performance in late April. An Evening on Broadway will take place on Tuesday, April 29, at 7:30 p.m., in the Moore Lounge, in Pearsons Hall, on the Beloit College campus. This concert is free and open to the public.

Coordinated by Professor Emerita of Music Eudora Shepherd, the event gives students an opportunity to sing music in a style that is more popular and upbeat than the standard classical repertoire. Featured vocalists pick favorite songs from Broadway shows and perform them for the campus and the community. In past years, students have chosen well-known pieces from Les Miserables, Newsies, Jekyll & Hyde and The King and I, among many others.

Beloit College seniors Travis Barrett ( Richardson, Texas) and Warren Kretzschmar ( Hannover, Germany) and sophomores Abigail Vanderbent ( Lakeland, Minn.) and Adam Bowen ( Springfield, Mo.), are among those who will perform in An Evening on Broadway.
