Music at Beloit College offers students the opportunity of experiencing creative musical activities in both liberal arts and pre-professional settings. While majors, minors, and non-majors receive exposure to performance and analysis within a historical perspective, the department emphasizes concepts of logic, problem solving and research scholarship to better prepare students’ understanding of the world around them.

Students from all academic backgrounds are encouraged to pursue their interests and to participate in the musical offerings at Beloit. Each semester, over 450 students are enrolled in the music program at various levels, including classes, performing ensembles, and private lessons.
