The Popularity of Chinese in the past decade may reflect the recognition of the larger role that China is taking in global affairs. To study Chinese, one of the major languages of the United Nations, is very important in today's global politics and economy.

The people of Japan, the gateway to East Asia, by successfully blending the tradition of the East with ideas from the West, generate the energy that makes the island nation the pearl of the Pacific rim. Japanese culture attracts many people to the study of Japanese language. The Japanese Language is also recognized as a major language in today's international arena.
