Mission
The LSSC believes education is central to the development of the whole person. The LSSC, in collaboration with faculty and staff, coordinates academic enrichment opportunities for all Beloit College students. The LSSC aims to assist students in achieving their academic pursuits in the hopes of promoting life long learning.
Goals
- Create a campus environment conducive to providing appropriate academic support for Beloit College Students.
- Coordinate academic enrichment activities (i.e. tutoring, one-on-one assistance, presentations, and graduate school entrance examination preparation).
- Serving students with disabilities while simultaneously educating the campus regarding disability related laws, issues, and concerns.
- Work in collaboration with the Educational Development Program to support the achievement of financially disadvantaged, first generation, or under-represented college students.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to achieve the mission of the LSSC and Beloit College.
- Conduct frequent evaluations and reviews of services provided by the LSSC in order to meet the changing needs of students, faculty, and staff.
