Warren Nelson, ringmaster of the Big Top Chautauqua musical circus, will lead his star players in an intimate concert that unites music, story-telling, history, and humor. Voted "Best Folk Musician" by Wisconsin Trails Magazine, Nelson is among the most talented singer/songwriter/poet/historians around today.
The Blue Canvas Orchestra is the heart and soul of the Big Top Chautauqua. These professional musicians serve up a well-seasoned blend of bluegrass, folk, and blues music — which has been stewing for 22 years on the Big Top stage. Beautiful vocal harmonies embrace precise and exciting instrumentals on guitar, mandolin, and bass for an exceptional sound.
Together, Nelson and his Big Top compatriots establish a spirited rapport with audiences. Public radio listeners nationwide have come to appreciate their impressive talents through the weekly broadcast of Tent Show Radio: Big Top Chautauqua.
