Journalist Neal Conan will narrate excerpts from the journals of great explorers — among them Jacques Cousteau, George Mallory, and Charles Darwin — and the works of such noted authors as Jim Harrison. The readings will be illustrated with spectacular visual imagery, including art, maps, and photographs from the collections of National Geographic. Musical accompaniment will be provided by Ensemble Galilei, a quintet that performs Irish, Scottish, early, and original music.
