McNair Scholars Program Coordinator
Beloit College seeks a McNair Scholars Program Coordinator to provide leadership and services in preparing low-income, first generation college students and underrepresented students for graduate school and doctoral programs. Qualifications include: a Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred), personal or professional experience with undergraduate research programs, experience working with the target population, experience working with college faculty, an understanding of the graduate school admissions process, excellent communication skills, ability to function effectively as a team member and personal and professional experience working with TRIO programs or other educational opportunity programs.
This is a full-time, 12-month position funded by the U.S. Department of Education. Excellent fringe benefits including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, vacation and sick leave, etc. Employees may take one free college course per term. Pension and free tuition after two years. Position continuation contingent on grant refunding by the U.S. Department of Education (grant is currently funded through 2011).
