Howard Hughes Young Scholar Research Program at Beloit College
This site is going to be dealing with Voronoi diagrams and the connection it has with Biology and more specificaly different types of animal territorial behavior.
In order to do this we will first explain what a Vornoi Diagram is and what is its connection with Dirichlet Tessellation and Duilaney Triangulation. On this page we will also give you a little background as to when and how it was discovered. So to start your journey follow this link!

Now that you have a better understanding of what it is and how it came about, you are ready to ready to go on. On this page you will find the heart of this site- a paper exploring this problem.

This page will lead you to our carefully prepared gallery. In the gallery you will be able to find every picture, table and graph that appear on this site. The gallery is organized with thumbnails, so you can see the picture before you view it.

If this has had an impact on you or if you are interested in this subject or if you are just curious and want to find out more, on this page you will find an extensive bibliography on this subject.

Finally, this last page gives the Credits and Acknowledgements to the people and organizations that made this project and site come about.

Update (04/22/2007): Somehow most of the content on this site was clobbered a number of years ago. It's been a long time a-comin', but I've finally been able to recover and restore most of it to its original splendor. I owe a huge debt of gratitude to the Internet Archive which thankfully backed up the entire site for posterity. A few images were damaged (with bottoms missing), but other than that the entire site is now just like it used to be. :-)
