Cutting edge science is interdisciplinary.  The Center for the Sciences will encourage collaboration through the development of interdisciplinary clusters that share common space, facilities, and equipment

Interdisciplinary clusters within the Center for the Sciences will include:

  • Neuroscience and behavior
  • Microbiology, molecular biology, molecular genetics, biochemistry
  • Environmental studies
  • Health and society
  • Materials science and visualization
  • Biochemistry

 The Center will also bring together the following traditional programs:

  • Mathematics
  • Physics and Astronomy
  • Psychology
