International students may apply to begin classes in the fall or the spring semester.
Since funding for international students is limited and the competition for these funds is keen, we strongly recommend that you complete your application by January 15 for fall admission, and October 15 for spring. However, an application received after these dates will be considered for admission, if space allows.
International transfer applicants who are currently studying in the United States should complete their applications no later than March 15 for fall admission and November 1 for spring.
International students may elect to apply under the Early Action option. To be considered under the Early Action option, a student's application must be complete no later than October 15. Decisions on Early Action applications will be mailed by January 15.
We read Regular Decision applications on a "rolling basis"--in other words, we read applications as they become complete. However, we do not begin reading Regular Decision applications until January 15, and we do not begin mailing Regular Decision notifications until the first or second week in February. Students applying for mid-year admission will be notified between September 15 and November 1.
Students who are offered admission and decide to attend Beloit College, must send a non-refundable enrollment deposit of $200/US by May 1 for the fall semester, which begins in the middle of August, or by November 15, for the spring semester, which begins in the middle of January.
Upon receipt of the enrollment deposit, Beloit College will issue to the student an I-20 form which the student will use to apply for the F-1 student visa. It is imperative that a student inform us of his or her decision to enroll promptly, because the time required to obtain the student visa for study in the U.S. can be lengthy.
