Since 1990 SEPM has published three of the Committee's K-12 resource volumes.
Click on any of the Committee's three book titles below to see a general description of its contents and its table of contents. Selected titles from these books are available on-line: within the table of contents, click on highlighted titles to link to that activity. This is a resource book for people interested in K-12 earth science education. The book includes 22 geology activities with teacher's guides. Activities range from basic sedimentary geology and paleontology (e.g., growing crystals, measuring sediment-settling rates, invertebrate fossils, dinosaurs and evolution) to applied geology (e.g., acid rain and copper exploration). A material- and information-resource list is included. This book is useful to both teachers and geologists who work with teachers and children.
