Beloit College

Unconditioned Space

Unconditioned Space

The Wright Museum of Art is proud to present the triennial Beloit College Studio Art Faculty Exhibition. Entitled Unconditioned Space, the show features artwork by Scott Espeseth, Mark Klassen, Meredith Root, and George Williams, and will include paintings, drawings, installation, and an animated film. Unconditioned Space refers to the enclosed parts of a building that are not heated or cooled (think basements, garages, and crawl spaces.) Though often rough, utilitarian, or “less civilized” than living spaces, they are often centers of creativity within the home or workplace, where messes and noise can be made without disturbing the comforts of the daily routine. A gallery talk and accompanying reception will be held February 26th at 12:30pm.
