Academic Positions

1996 Beloit College Associate Professor of Design, Theatre Arts Scenic Designer, Lighting Designer, and Technical Director Design and oversee construction, budget, and production schedule for five annual productions (four theatrical and one dance). Professor of Design and Stage Management Course curricula include: Introduction to Design and Technology (a foundation course for all department majors), Scenic Design, Lighting Design, Stage Management, Stagecraft, Property Design and Construction, Graphics, Scene Painting, and additional courses as need and interest require.

1994-96 Mankato State University Assistant Professor - Lighting Designer and Technical Director Lighting Designer and Technical Director Design and oversee shop, budget, and schedules for five mainstage and five studio theatre productions annually. Graduate and Undergraduate course instruction Course curricula include: graduate and undergraduate courses in Lighting Design, Drafting for the Theatre, and Design/Portfolio Seminar. 1984-89 Northwestern University Scenic Designer and Production Manager - Northwestern University Opera Production manager and designer for university opera five years running. Annual operation budget exceeded $120,000. Responsibilities included overseeing budget, hiring support staff - designers and craft personnel, and managing negotiations between IATSE and USA constituents.
