Cost & Credit
Upon successful completion of a Summer Fields course, the student will receive one unit of Beloit College academic credit, which is transferable and equivalent to four semester hours at other colleges and universities. Students must earn a letter grade of a C or above in order to receive credit for the course. Please note that each college or university has its own policy for the number and kind of credits that it will accept from other institutions.
The cost for the program is $3,200 and includes tuition, room and board, and all program-related activities. Depending on the course in which you enroll, there may be additional book and materials expenses. Once you are accepted into the program, a $150 deposit is due upon enrollment to secure your place. Balances are due July 5th, which is the Friday before the start of the program.
Beloit College gives a small number of merit awards to students whose records and essays are particularly strong. No separate application is necessary.
A limited number of need-based, partial scholarships may be available. To apply for financial assistance, please complete the Financial Assistance Form and return it to the Office of Summer Programs by April 1, 2013.
