If you like the idea of spending three weeks on one of the nation’s oldest and finest liberal arts campuses, engaging with award-winning faculty, learning on your feet (and in your seat), while living with, and getting to know, a small group of students with similar passions and interests, you should apply today.

Students are admitted based on the strength of their personal essay, recommendation letter, and a review of their submitted high school transcript. Though admission is competitive, the committee reviewing applications will prefer candidates with a keen and demonstrated interest in the program over those with only a sterling GPA and transcript.

We are currently accepting applications on a space-available basis.  We start accepting students into the program on a rolling basis in January, so we advise you to submit your applications early.

The application process includes the following steps:

• Choose the Summer Fields course you want to take
• Ask your guidance counselor to send an official transcript to:

• Fill out our online application  which includes general information, a personal essay and a request for a teacher to fill out an online recommendation.  You will be asked to create a log-in and password so you can save and return to your application.

• Pay your nonrefundable application fee of $35 using our online form or by sending a check or money order to the Office of Summer Programs along with a note indicating the student's name and the course he or she is applying for.

• Complete the financial assistance form if you are applying for financial assistance and return it to the Office of Summer Programs by April 30, 2013.
