Finding Employment

On Campus Employment Opportunities

  • First-Year Students: Beloit College has adopted a policy of assigning job interviews to first-year incoming students.Freshmen should report to their supervisors before registration to schedule an interview time.
  • Students should be prepared to provide employers with proposed class schedules.Any first year student who does not secure employment at this interview is to report back to the Financial Aid Office immediately. We will continue to assist the student in locating campus employment if the student has advised the Financial Aid Office that they were unable to secure employment at their initial interview and that they still wish a placement.
  • Continuing and Transfer Students: All students are encouraged to check the Employment Opportunities bulletin board in the Financial Aid Office. This Board will contain all job postings known to the Financial Aid Office. It is the student’s responsibility to contact employers about posted positions.
  • Students who are applying for a previous position also participate in the interviewing process. Students should bring their proposed class schedule to the interview. Continuing students must also ensure that they have an I-9 and W-4 Form on file in the office of Human Resources.

Student Job Opportunities

This is a list of positions that are currently available on campus.  It will be populated and regularly-updated after September 9.  Until then, we are waiting for new students who were offered work to connect with those positions that were suggested to them by private email in late August.

Student Employment Job Descriptions

This is a comprehensive list of student work positions that exist on campus, not current openings.  It is for reference only and should be used as students think about their remaining time at Beloit and consider positions that may better fit their interests and skills.  For current openings, please refer the link above (after September 9.)

Other Employment Opportunities

If an on-campus job is not available, or if a student wants employment above and beyond his/her work allotment, s/he should check the off-campus employment section of the Employment Opportunities bulletin board located in the Financial Aid Office. Grocery stores, pizza places, and private individuals often employ Beloit students, and other local businesses periodically have openings as well.
