Mackey ChairUrsula K. LeGuin is one of the most celebrated writers of speculative fiction in the United States. The Left Hand of Darkness won the Hugo and Nebula awards in 1970, and her subsequent novel, The Dispossessed, made her the first person to win both the Hugo and Nebula Awards for Best Novel twice for the same two books. She was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize in 1997 for Unlocking the Air and Other Stories.
