Majors and Minors

Beloit takes great pride in the fact that the most popular major among entering students is “undecided.”  Our flexible curriculum with over 50 fields of study in 19 departments allows even the most focused students to discover intellectual connections between departments and majors.  It is not unusual for a student who arrives here on a determined path of pre-med to then discover anthropology as an equal passion.  That student may become a major in “Health and Society,” and still be well-prepared for medical school.  These connections occur across the curriculum and the possibilities are bountiful.  No matter what, Beloit students become lifelong learners—the only way to thrive in rapidly changing times.  We have assembled in-depth descriptions of departments and programs and we invite you to read through the areas of interest to you.  Then, take a look at some fields you would have never considered.
