Admission Decisions

We seek students best qualified to benefit from—and contribute to—Beloit’s campus community, both inside and outside the classroom. For international applicants, financial need also informs our decision. Many international students receive financial assistance, but none are fully funded. To be accepted, applicants must document the ability to provide adequate funding.

Transfer Applicant Admission Decisions

We require the final results of any examination required for entry into the university you currently attend, as well as a transcript of all university-level course work. Transfer applicants must also provide a catalog with course descriptions, or syllabi. Transcripts which are not in English must be accompanied by a certified English translation.

Students whose first language is not English must take the TOEFL examination or the IELTS.  Minimum scores required for admission consideration are:  550 on the paper TOEFL, an 80 on the iBT, or a 6.5 on the IELTS. Students who are proficient in English should take the SAT examination and achieve scores of at least 500 Critical Reading and 500 Math.
