Application Requirements
International first-year applicants
1. A completed Common Application.
2. The Beloit College Supplement
Our supplement is posted on the Common Application website.
3. $35/US Application Fee (payable to Beloit College)
The $35 application fee may be paid by international money order or by personal check. All checks must be denominated in U.S. dollars and drawn on a U.S. bank. Because of processing costs, checks drawn on foreign banks cannot be accepted.
The application fee may also be paid by credit card online.
4. Official Transcripts of Secondary School Course Work
Transcripts must list all courses taken and the grades received (if applicable), or results of post-secondary cumulative examinations (G.C.E., I.B., S.P.M., M.C.E., etc.)
Transcripts and examinations must be in English and sent directly to Beloit College by the school, examination board, or certified translator.
5. Secondary School Report Form
A completed Secondary School Report must be submitted by the appropriate school official.
6. Teacher Letters of Recommendation
At least one teacher recommendation is required.
7. Standardized examinations
Students whose first language is not English must submit the results of the TOEFL, the IELTS, or for students from Japan, the STEP EIKEN. If a student’s first language is English, or his/her language of instruction for at least four years has been English, s/he may submit scores from the SAT Reasoning Test or ACT.
The minimum scores required for admission consideration are TOEFL - 80 iBT, 550 paper-based,. IELTS - 6.5, and STEP EIKEN - Grade Pre-1. SAT and ACT scores are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
8. A Completed International Student Financial Declaration
All international applicants must submit a "Statement of Financial Responsibility" and a letter from a bank certifying available financial resources.

Optional Components
Students may submit samples of creative work or composition (poetry, photography, art, music recordings, research, etc). Please send only copies, slides or photographs of originals.
