Sample Recommendation for Off-Campus Study. (Recommendations are requested electronically through the online system).
Advisors for Beloit College programs, ISEP programs, CIEE programs in France, ACM programs, and non-ACM domestic off-campus programs. These individuals are familiar with the programs and are a valuable resource for students considering off-campus study. If no advisor is listed for a program of interest, please consult with your faculty advisor as well as an advisor in the Office of International Education.
Application sessions offer guidance on preparing a plan for study to be reviewed by a faculty committee. In the session, we discuss the prompts for the essays that form the heart of off-campus study plan and provide examples of possible responses. Students who attend application sessions find them a valuable tool for help them prepare their plan for off-campus study, as does working with a writing tutor or advisor. The application summary posted here allows you to refer back to the information covered in the application session you attended.

Online Application. When you are ready to start your application for off-campus study, follow the instructions on this page to navigate StudioAbroad, Beloit College's online application system. The domestic application for programs such as the ACM Chicago Programs, Washington Semester, SEA Semester, etc. is now accessible through the online application link as well.
Research Approval. If you plan to do independent research during your study abroad experience, you must have your project reviewed by the Beloit College Institutional Review Board (IRB). See the IRB Website for more information.
