International Education Week: November 15-21, 2015

About International Education Week Established in 1999, this joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education promotes the international education of all students studying at U.S. college and universities.  Beloit College has participated in the initiative since its inception with week of activities reflecting the many different ways in which the college and its alumni, students, staff and faculty engage with the world at home and abroad.


 International Week 2015 Schedule of Events

Sunday, November 15

1:30-3:30 pm - Multicultural Fair-Sponsored by I-Club, SC Atrium

Monday, November 16

7pm- East Germany:Film Screening, SC 150

Tuesday, November 17

7pm  -  International Poetry Reading, Pearsons Hall-Moore Lounge 

Wednesday, November 18

All Day- International Symposium Day

4-6 PM  -  Hoptimistic Thoughts-International Beer/Tea Tasting and Conversation C-haus

7 PM  - Stone Lecture: Rochelle Davis presenting "The Syrian Refugee Crisis: Changing the Narrative," Richardson Auditorium, Morse-Ingersoll Hall

Thursday, November 19

4:00 PM -5:30 PM  -  International Education Open House with live music, Office of International Education/International House

Saturday, November 21

9:00PM- 12:30am  -  International Ballroom Dance Pearsons Main Dining Room

             9:00-10:00 - Beginner Salsa lessons (no experience expected)

             10:00-12:30 - Open Ballroom Dancing (with a variety of rhythms)
