Off-Campus Study Applications go On-Line.
A new on-line application will be launched in September. Students applying for the September 15 deadline should attend the application session on September 2 at 4 pm to receive detailed instructions.
Jean-Marie Kamatali will give the annual Weissberg International Human Rights Lecture on
September 13 at 8:00 p.m. in Moore Lounge. A former dean at the Law School of the National University of Rwanda and currently an assistant professor of law at Ohio Northern University, Dr. Kamatali will speak on "Rebuilding Society After Conflict and Dictatorship: Lessons from Rwanda."
A teaching colloquium on Environment, Science, and Technology in Asia will take place at Beloit College October 1 and 2; both Asian specialists and non-specialists are invited to participate. Registration is required.
Mr. Ali Allawi has been named the 11th Weissberg Chair in International Studies. His residency will take place March 27-April 3, 2011. Currently a fellow at Harvard University's Carr Center for Human Rights Policy, Mr. Allawi's residency at Beloit College will focus on issues of democracy and the role of religion in the Middle East with a specific focus on Iraq.

2010 marks Beloit’s 50th anniversary of study abroad – events celebrating the anniversary include a panel discussion on September 25 during homecoming, and a career panel on November 15 during International Education Week.

Stylus Press has released Integrating Study Abroad into the Curriculum: Theory and Practice across the Disciplines.
The book features examples of teaching from the Beloit College campus as well as Kalamazoo College, and has contributions from Marion Fass (Biology), Nan
cy Krusko (Anthropology), Pablo Toral (International Relations), Daniel Youd (Chinese) and Elizabeth Brewer (International Education), who co-edited the book with Kiran Cunningham, Kalamazoo College.
