"IT'S FOR REAL," an About Face Theatre special performance

Date: Thursday, December 5th, 2013

Time: 7:00 pm

Duration: 30 minutes

Location: Kresge Theatre, Neese Theatre Complex

Contact: kaufmannj@beloit.edu, John Kaufmann: 363-2685

Hilarious and poignant, "IT'S FOR REAL" connects issues of race, class, gender, age, and, sexuality. Based on the true experiences of the performers in the show, the audience is encouraged to ask the actors about their stories, and share experiences. We have Nic, a gender queer voguer dealing with homelessness and their relationship to money; Rashida, who's New Year's day takes an unexpected turn; Nemo, a straight ally whose mom tries to nag her into coming out; and Joel, who gets flak for being black and Latino.

The play is a poignant, funny piece that casts a wide net and gives folks a lot to discuss afterwards.

This event is free and open to the campus and community.
