Since 2003, the Ginsberg Family Artist-in-Residence Program (started by Stuart Ginsberg'82 and his wife Lisa) has provided funding to bring acclaimed artists to Beloit to exhibit works, run workshops, and teach.
This year's artist, Andrew Sendor, has a distinguished resume. He is based out of his hometown of New York and received his training at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn with additional studies in Australia. His works are in private and public collections across the globe, and his works have been displayed in institutions such as the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas City, Missouri and the Funen Art Museum in Odense, Denmark. He has also had solo exhibitions in Copenhagen, New York, and Los Angeles. His paintings and drawings are often oriented around visual perspectives and the ways in which they relate to various artistic styles.
Exhibit opens August 28th and closes on October 5th.
