President Scott Bierman will be giving a public presentation titled “Hiking el Camino de Santiago” on Thurs., Nov. 14 at 6:30 p.m. in Moore Lounge. The presentation will detail a hiking trip President Bierman and his daughter undertook in Spain along the famous trail, which in English means “The Way of St. James.” The trail is traditionally a route of pilgrimage to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela located in Galicia in northern Spain. Legend supports that the site of note is where the apostle Saint James is buried.
Associate Professor, Mouat Junior Professor of International Studies, and Chair of the Department of Political Science Pablo Toral said he would be attending the presentation “to learn more about the President’s spiritual journey.”
The event is free and open to the public and sponsored by the Rock Trail Coalition. Toral also plans to attend to “learn more about the Rock Trail Coalition’s efforts to build the Peace Trail between Beloit and Janesville.”
Refreshments will be provided. This event is free and open to the campus and community.
