Participants will observe the night sky using binoculars, 10-inch telescopes and their unaided eyes. Weather permitting; visitors will be treated to the sight of Jupiter and its moons. The constellations Sagittarius (The Archer) and Scorpio (The Scorpion) will also be well-positioned for viewing.
In case of cloudy skies or inclement weather, a faculty member from the department of physics and astronomy will present a lecture, followed by a question-and-answer session in the Porter Brown Auditorium (room 150) of the Center for the Sciences.
