Activist, author Vandana Shiva to give annual Weissberg address April 4

Beloit College’s 2013-14 Weissberg Chair in International Studies Vandana Shiva is scheduled to visit campus the week of March 31-April 5. Shiva is a world-renowned author, activist and founder of Navdanya, an Indian women's movement to protect the diversity and integrity of living resources and native seeds.

Shiva will give a keynote address titled “The Right to Food: Women, Development and the Global Economy” on Friday, April 4 at 8 p.m. in Eaton Chapel. The lecture is free and open to the public as are the following events that are also part of Weissberg week:
