Best value and strong commitment to teaching were just a few of the areas in which Beloit College earned recognition in the annual U.S. News & World Report’s rankings of “Best Colleges” released today.

Beloit was included in the following categories:

In its ranking of the top 239 liberal arts colleges nationwide, Beloit tied for the No. 63 spot.

Beloit placed 38th on a “best value” listing of 40 liberal arts colleges. The list is compiled by taking into account a school’s academic quality based on its U.S. News Best Colleges 2013 ranking and the 2011-12 net cost of attendance for a student who receives the average level of need-based financial aid.

Recommended by High School Counselors

Beloit earned the No. 99 spot on a list of 257 national liberal arts colleges selected by high school counselors as offering the best undergraduate education to their students. The guidance counselors were selected from a nationwide sampling of public high schools in the 2012 U.S. News Best High Schools rankings that were gold, silver or bronze medal winners, as well as from the largest private independent schools nationwide.
