Beloit College is well-known for its excellent undergraduate teaching, and on Friday (April 26) the college took the time to publicly applaud some of their work at the annual Underkofler/Kang Award Ceremony and Recognition Party.

Allison Smith of Arcade, N.Y., was awarded a Boren Fellowship to study in Russia. Smith is a sophomore majoring in International Relations and Russian.

Katia Colin has been selected from a group of finalists for the incoming class of the prestigious Kemper Scholars Program. The program has been sponsored by the James S. Kemper Foundation of Chicago, Illinois, since 1948.

The Beloit College Sustainability Fellows Program recently announced the selection of this summer’s fellows. As part of this eight-week program beginning May 20, students are given the opportunity to contribute their expertise to a campus- or community-based sustainability project and to earn one unit of academic credit.
