Rick Pemberton (1991), Guitar
Rick's musical career was set into motion on February 9, 1964, when he saw the Beatles on Ed Sullivan. He has been working on and enjoying mastering the guitar ever since.
Rick started guitar lessons at age eleven and joined his first band at age twelve. Some of the bands hat Rick has played in include The Names, Teenage Tarzan, The Bun E. Carlos Experience, Bare Bones, and currently, The Sensations. While with the Names, Rick made a classic horror movie called Terror on Tour.
Rick is the winner of 8 RAMI Awards (Rockford Area Music Industry) with Bare Bones, including being the first band inducted into the RAMI Hall of Fame, and Best Guitarist of 1992. Rick has also produced two of Ken Curtis' CDs, one of which was awarded the RAMI for Best CD in 2003.
Rick has taught guitar for over 30 years in both private practice and here at Beloit College.
