Our Awards

From outstanding teaching to strong service work, Beloit is consistently recognized by the nation’s premier higher education evaluators.

Heralded as one of the Colleges That Change Lives by the late author and former New York Times education editor Loren Pope, Beloit routinely appears on lists celebrating stellar teaching. Beloit placed 6th on U.S. News & World Report’s list of the best undergraduate teaching among national liberal arts colleges and 17th on The Princeton Review’s national list of the “best classroom experience.”

Beloit has been committed to curricular innovation since its founding in 1846, and the college is home to one of the oldest chapters of Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s most prestigious honor society.

In addition to rigorous academics, Beloit is known for its global outlook and commitment to service. The college earned the Senator Paul Simon Award for its international focus and programs, and it was one of the top 115 institutions named to the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll.

Beloit students’ thirst for knowledge and education does not end at commencement. So many, in fact, go onto graduate school that the National Science Foundation ranked Beloit as among the nation’s top producers of Ph.D.s.

Beloit is one of the top “private colleges worth the price,” according to Kiplinger’s Personal Finance Magazine, and U.S. News & World Report hails the college as a “best value.”
