Reserve Punched Corrugated - CA. 1000-1150

Like Reserve Incised Corrugated, this type is a fusion of Reserve Plain Corrugated and an earlier Alma type, Alma Punched. In this type, patterns are created by punching along the corrugations using a sharp tool.

Characteristics

Paste: Pinkish tan to dark brown
Temper: Light sand
Surface: Red-brown to gray-brown
Forms: Jars with plain, flaring rims and bowls
Design: Plain corrugations with patterns of punch marks, usually concentrated near rim.
