Cedar Creek Polychrome seems to be related to Pinedale Polychrome and a precursor to Fourmile Polychrome. The designs are usually in the Pinedale Style. the primary distinguishing features are the orange slip and the white outling of the major design elements.
Characteristics
Paste: White to gray, buff to brown
Temper: Crushed sherd
Surface: Thick orange to red slip, polished
Forms: Bowls, jars and ladles
Design: Similar to St Johns Black-on-Red with opposed solid and larger hatched elements, but here motifs outlined with narrow white lines, broad white-lined motifs on exteriors probably executed with an iron-free slip
